Cactus and Tryzub is a volunteer initiative spanning Arizona, based in Phoenix, AZ. We are a group of passionate supporters of Ukraine—some of us have Ukrainian roots or other ties to Ukraine—and we deeply care about the outcome of the genocidal war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.

Here, you can connect with the local Ukrainian community, get involved in volunteer and fundraising opportunities, and stay informed about cultural projects and social events. Our mission evolves with the needs of our community.

As we approach the fourth year of the full-scale war, our efforts remain focused on raising awareness, educating the public, countering Russian propaganda, and advocating for continued support for Ukraine in the U.S. Congress.

Rocking Out for Ukraine

The benefit show for Ukraine took place at the Blooze Bar in Phoenix, Arizona at the initiative of Andre and Birgit Dolhyj of Tans Der Vampyr band based in Prescott. Rock Against Russia Benefit Concert was band's second show with all proceeds going to support Ukraine. Cactus and Tryzub was invited to collaborate on the fundraising efforts at the concert.

Join the Ukrainian community of Phoenix in support and solidarity on the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion.

Do the products and services you consume fund russian war machine? Get educated on your favorite products and brands and if they help sustain russian war economy. More than 1000 days into the full-scale invasion, some companies would not halt operations in the aggressor country and continue to do business as usual. Make a conscious effort to reduce consumption of products and services rendered by these companies as well as minimize investments in them.

Yale School of Management maintains and frequently updates the list of companies which still have presence in russia. Avoid brands rated “D” and “F” on this list.

CHECK YOUR SOURCES! Russia spends enormous amounts of money on its far-reaching propaganda. Kremlin propaganda is a problem everywhere, not just in Russia. With claims like Zelensky allegedly abandoned post and left Ukraine to fend for itself to meddling in foreign elections, the danger of russian propaganda cannot be underestimated. Is your knowledge about the war in Ukraine fact-based or are you a victim of Putin’s agenda?
